Ice Storm Update!

Well it continued to rain ice and snow throughout the night, these pictures were taken before we lost power for 8 hours or so. It was kinda freaky. It was quiet, little to no traffic and all you could hear was the howl of the wind, sirens, and trains.

The Ice Storm 2007

It's been raining ice for about 5 hours now. Looks like we have somewhere around a solid inch of ice coating everything, including my car shown here. Transformers are exploding and hell is breaking loose....or freezing over, depending on how you look at it.

The Quad Cities is "Under Siege!"

In an effort to make the weather entertaining rather than just boring and educational, the local weather stations were reporting the winter storm like it was some kind of battle update from the front lines. I on the other hand spent the better half of my day searching for a Tauntaun dealer with no success.
